In Kind and Brave Company
In Kind and Brave Company is a modern house of brands rooted in design, detail, and storytelling. We create products and nurture brands that give you a timeless yet relevant experience, blending cultural context with contemporary sensibilities.

My story
I am an environmental economist by training, a maker at heart, and a reluctant risk-taker who finally took the plunge. For over a decade, I worked with governments and philanthropies on strategy and system design. But now, I wanted to build something tangible; undeterred by my last, rather ambitious attempt to create a toy empire.
My debut brands under In Kind and Brave Company are:
- Kutty Jetty: A children’s clothing label rooted in export-quality cotton, cultural nostalgia, memory, and nap-time tested design.
- Koodai Kind: A reinvention of the wire koodai into a modern, bold, artistry-inspired everyday bag that is proudly local in every weave.
Over the last few years, I’ve learnt that living courageously is the only way to live with purpose; believing in myself and taking that leap of faith, especially when it’s scariest.
In the words of a wise one: “Risk it for the biscuit”. And that’s exactly what I’m doing.
I live in Bangalore where the traffic is chaotic, but the perfect weather and the darshini filter coffees make it all worthwhile.
What Kind & Brave means to us -
Our North Star
Kind is deliberate.
Kind is intentionality. Kind is in the details. Kind is knowing how we build is just as important as what we build.
At our house, “Kind” means:
- Working with textiles out of respect for materials and the people who make them.
- Choosing better, and amplifying local artistry with honest materials every step of the way
- Being Kind to ourselves as founders, creators, and caregivers, even when the hustle says otherwise
- Being Kind to our customers, as we continue to ensure their experience is grounded in nostalgia and cultural identity
Brave is starting anyway.
Brave is not the absence of fear; It’s when you do it anyway, with shaky hands and a steady heart.
At our house, “Brave” means:
- Creating your own product when the world says “wait till you’re really ready”
- Creating from our own cultures, languages, textures - and owning every bit of it
- Saying yes to and attempting things we haven’t done before, but know that we are capable
- Making the hard choices to produce ‘real’ in a world of ‘new and fast
Livelihood
at the Centre
We believe in business as a launchpad for the dignity and economic freedom of founders, makers, and communities.
- Respectful sourcing and fair working conditions
- Conscious production choices
- Transparent storytelling that honours people, not just aesthetics
- We don’t expect perfection. But intention and accountability matter deeply.
