“குட்டி ஜட்டி” (Kutty Jetty) is a phrase you’ll hear in many South Indian homes-part nickname, part tease, always full of love.

It literally means little underpants; the kind worn by toddlers running barefoot through courtyards.

Clothes that feel like childhood for your Kutty - the littlest love.

Kutty Jetty is the debut brand under the In Kind & Brave umbrella, and like most firstborns, it carries a little bit of everything: legacy, pride, and care.

It began with a shirt made from export quality cotton, stitched by a grandfather for his newborn grandson in the middle of a lockdown - when the world had come to a halt, and nothing was ready.

So the grandfather turned to what he knew best.
The Looms and Mills of South India, and their export-quality cotton: soft, breathable, untouched.
He transformed that fabric into the most beautiful shirts, shaped gently and stitched with heart.

Here’s what we hold close:

True sustainability is not always just about how fabric is made. We also must consider how much is made and what already exists. That’s why we’ve chosen not to produce new fabric for our clothes. It’s a choice to build a children’s clothing brand that respects the limits of our environment.

Built on the Fabric of my Father’s legacy

Kutty Jetty is a love letter to memory, childhood, and the world of textiles I grew up around.

For over forty years, my father worked as a textile merchandiser. With an instinctive touch, he understood the fabric, knew how to feel its weight, and trusted his eye more than any machine; guiding yarn into fabric and fabric into timeless fashion.

He walked the mills of Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, and Salem like they were extensions of home - and cotton wasn’t just material, but livelihood, language, and pride. With just a brush of his fingers, he could tell if a shirt was pure cotton or not. If it were the latter, he would set it aside, no questions asked.

Kutty Jetty carries that legacy in every thread, in the way our shirts feel in your hand, the choices, and the refusal to compromise.

This is for my appa, and his eye for detail.
For his love of all things art and textile.
For his belief that good fabric is honest work.

And for the idea that every child deserves to wear something made with care.
